Final Project: Studio Unit Living
The Brief:
This was the last assignment for ITD. Students were given an existing studio unit layout and had to think of the furniture that is suitable for each of the space. Then, we had to produce drawings to show the design with the presence of furnitures or fittings. All furnitures had to refer to IKEA product catalogue as to ease students on getting the ideas as well as the dimension of the furnitures.
The Progress:
It is a must to show your progress to your respective tutor every tutorial class as this is the only time for you to correct or refine your mistake.
The Studio Design:
This is the finalised drawing with inking. It can be better, but due to my carelessness it still have a lot of mistakes and errors.
Reflection:
I have learnt the basic principles and conventions of drawing skill as a communication tool in the construction industry. I also apply drawing as a means of communication in order to express three-dimensional space and object into two- dimensional orthographic drawings. Furthermore, I notice that lineweight plays an important role in every architectural drawing. I learn that last minute work cannot achieve good grade, and I will try my best to overcome this bad habit.
