Oral Presentation: Future City

Oral presentation evaluates students' speaking skill. In this era modenisation, communication skill has been emphasised as it is vital in working field, education or even daily communication. Therefore, throughout this presentation, I am able to improve my speaking skill, at the same time enrich my knowledges about the future city planning.
Ms. Cassandra offered us two choices, either to do a future city planning or a new plan for existing city. We were formed into a group of 5 or 6 and my group consists of me, Adele Lu, Kelly Chin, Crystal Chia, Farah Hanisah and Cryslyn Tan.
After a session of discussion, we decided to do a new plan for Subang Jaya.

Aims and Accomplishments/ Reflection:
By doing this assignment, I have learnt the basic oral presentation skills. I also gained the ability to deliver an effective presentation by applying the elements of an effective speaker in four main areas mainly voice projection, body language, content as well as organisation of the content. I can analyse and listen to conversations in various interactive, social, professional and academic situations. I also can identify the main idea and gist from lecturers and talks. Throughout the presentation, for the reflection I have learnt that teamwork is a vital element to succeed a project. I learnt to cooperate with others well without triggering misunderstandings or conflicts. I realised that i had a difficult time in making a well-organised presentation slides. So, I requested my group mate to help me in organising the slides so that it looked nicer. I also seeked for lecturer's advice as to improve my weakness.
